If you get fingered with smoke on their hands...?

I know this is gross but my friend is really worried that she has got cancer. Her boyfriend fingered her and he smokes and he had the smell on this fingers. Would this harm your health in any way? Thanks

The main issue is that he needs to wash his hands before she lets them anywhere near her vagina. Because the vagina is moist and tears easily, it's very easy to get an infection.

It is extremely unlikely that cancer would develop that quickly and cancer from exposure to a small amount of carcinogens on a single occasion would be virtually unheard of. There are probably thousands of women who smoke just before or even during masturbation or while inserting a tampon, and I have yet to hear of someone getting uterine, ovarian or any other cancer from that.

Your friend should go to a gynecologist (Planned Parenthood if she has no insurance or little money) if she's concerned she has cancer.

cancer is not going to happen from one time. if it is even possible it would take years and years of this going on many times a day.

however if his hands aren't clean he's bringing bacteria into that environment which can cause a pH imbalance and lead to a bacterial infection..usually bacterial vaginosis. Most women won't have a problem with it, but some women's pH can get thrown off very easily. If that happens she might notice a discharge and/or a "fishy" smell, and she'll need to get treated with antibiotics.

That is silly. The carcinogens do not transfer that way, but if she is really concerned with his smoking she should say something to him. I would be more concerned about being around the person in general, breathing in the toxic clouds he puffs out. However, I have never heard of anyone getting cancer via finger transfer.

What? That is one of the craziest things I have ever heard anyone ask about sex. No, your answer is no. That scares me that she would even wonder. Please tell your friend to get a little more educated about sex before she starts getting involved with guys. Please! It's scary how people jump into things before they have any idea what they are getting into.

well, unless his hands are really dirty, or he has some virus (HPV) in them, and he passes it into his girlfriend when doing the deed... then she's at risk of HPV infection and may eventually have cervical cancer if that will be the case.
