Is there any birth control (besides condoms) that I can use while smoking?

I'm a smoker. I was wondering if there was any birth control I could use safely that are not condoms.

You can use any birth control while smoking. But it's the smoking that's harmful to your health. Women over 35 are at increased risk of blood clots if they smoke and take the pill.

Quit smoking. Ask your doctor to prescribe you Wellbutrin. It makes it easier.

As long as you aren't over 35, you are ok to use any BC method. I am sure you will get your ear bent about your smoking, though. Check out the diaphragm, the cervical cap and the Paragard IUD (non-hormonal and lasts for 10 years). Also, Depo may be an option for you, as it has no estrogen. Good luck!
