Why the wont let me smoke. even though thye did? |
I am a teen that smokes and my parents fou nd out recently. They told me if i ever smoke again im nmot there kid anymore. But whe they sent me to my step sisters she she let me.the thing i dont get is if they did it at a young age why cant i? 1. You will always be their kid. There's no getting out of that one. because they probably regret it now, and they don't want you to fallow in their foot steps. if your parents broke both their legs at your age, would you want to break your legs too? besides, smoking increases your risk for every illness there is, and later in life you will find that its going to increase your health insurance because you smoke, eventually some insurance carriers will even deny to carry you on their policy because you smoke and are at such a big risk. I work in a heart hospital, and 85% of my patients have stopped smoking, but only because they have had a double, triple, or quadruple bypass and know that if they continue IT WILL KILL THEM! but hey its your choice in the end, keep on keeping on and kick yourself in the *** later! Because they've learnt why it's a bad mistake to smoke, especially at a young age where you're not being realistic. They want to pass on the wisdom I guess! I'm 16 and have been smoking since I was 13, and already even I realise that it was a bad idea. Of course, at the time, I thought "nah, mum started when she was my age, and i know i'll be able to quit, i'm different to all the people who haven't" buuut when it comes to it, it's difficult. They're looking out for what's best for you. Every Parent that has a child hopes that their child will be better than they were and have a better life than they did. Your parents don't like that they smoke and know its a bad habit. (like others have said) and its hard to quit. The reason that your parents are being so tough on you is because they just want whats best for you and they want you to grow up and be better off. I totally understand. It is not fair. Did they smoke when they are the age you are now? If so, talk to them about it. Ask them if they remember what it was like to smoke at your age. And tell them that you love them, and want to have a good relationship with them, but you really want to be able to smoke! my mom smokes and it bugs the **** out of me. she does it a lot and she hates herself for it. they just don't want you to start because it's such an impossible habit to quit. they made a mistake starting and they know. they don't want you to do the same. had she known they were bad when she started she wouldn't have gotten started on it. To me they dont like the fact that They themselves smoke and they cant quit so they are trying to get you to stop before you make it a habit. Its very Hard to quit smoking.....Take that advice from a smoker....Dont Start its nothing but bad....bad.....bad...... Your health is their first priority! They realize how unhealthy smoking is and don't want you to die of lung cancer. Google cigarette facts and you will see how truly gross smoking is. You shouldn't smoke. Maybe because they don't want you to make the same mistake that they made? But even if it's just cuz they're idiots, they're the parents and you still have to live with them. because they are looking out for you. they know that they made a huge mistake when they were younger and started smoking and they dont want you to make the same mistake they did. trust me, they are really wanting to help you! Bc they are older now and know the side effects that smoking can cause. they are just concerned about you and trying to do whats best for your health. plus if you are under 18 and get caught...have fun paying those fines Because they are your parents and they have done it and know the damage soking can cause. Believe me, it's not a healthy habit. because it is a disgusting habit that is very addictive and they would probably like to you to live. They know it was a bad choice to make, and dont want you to make the same one. |
