Is it okay to smoke marijuana when you are going to take the abortion pill?

I'm currently 6 weeks pregnant and getting an abortion on Saturday. I'm doing the pill method, not the surgery method. I have been smoking weed to alleviate my morning sickness. Before I started smoking, I would be sick all day and throw up everything I ate or drank. Now I can get out of bed and I can actually keep food down. My question is, is it okay to smoke after you take the abortion pill? And is it okay to smoke right before it? My appointment is very early in the morning so I know I'll be feeling sick if I don't smoke...

Please save the lectures on how abortion or marijuana is evil, I don't care, you wont change my mind.

It was with my boyfriend of 2 years and the condom broke. And i'm paying for it myself, this isn't Canada, abortions aren't free.

I've haven't had an abortion before, but I don't think the marijuana will have any negative side effects with the pill .
Since marijuana reacts with a different part of the brain than the pill does .
After all, if it has no abnormal side effects with narcotics and schizophrenia medication, then I honestly don't think it will have a life threatening effect with the abortion pill . To be on the safe side, smoke or ingest a little less then what you normally do .

Smoking marijuana won't alter the effectiveness of the abortion pill at all .. but i can't promise it's going to take away all your sickness - because regardless of whether this is the right decision for you, you're going to have a stomach full of knots on the day. It's okay to be nervous though - choosing not to continue with this pregnancy does not change your right to have feelings about it. It's okay to be sad too. I wish you luck, I know this can't be easy for you.

you will be fine. and if marijuana would affect it, stopping now is no use really because it stays in your System for 4 days at least. smoking after though will definitely not be a problem. and everyone calling this murder needs to calm down and keep their beliefs to themselves. she might not be in a proper situation to have the baby anyway, and could be doing it a favor by not bringing it inadequately into the world.

Weed does not affect pregnancy or abortion for that matter..it doesnt affect you..I actually smoked weed during my whole pregnancy and I was completely fine, and my daughter was born very healthy, she is so beautiful and smart..so NO, weed does not affect you at all, no matter if you are going to keep it or abort it..I still smoke weed and I love it. I feel much better when I smoke. good luck

With all medication most of the bottles have a warning saying you should not use drugs or alcohol before or after taking the medication. I would just wait out the sick feeling and take the pill and wait until you are finished with it, and then go back to your regular routine.

it depends on how often you've been smoking, just drink a lot of water and don't be operating any vehicles you know

You do know that Marijuana and Weed is illegal. And it probably wouldnt be smart to post this on the web. And why get pregnant if you are gonna do abortion. You are really not smart. And it is probably not smart.

Having an abortion is your choice but you still shouldn't smoke Marijuana even if you weren't pregnant. Anyway if you have an abortion your morning sickness will go away so yeah.

Well You should wait for at least 1 day or 2 because it might cause problems with your stomach because the pill will kick in and you dont want to mix marijuana with that!

Does the answer really matter? Your pregnant, smoking weed (which is not bad by the way) & getting an abortion. There are too many things that can go wrong and I really don't think it matters.

You should be fine if you keep smoking it. It won't cause the abortion pill to be ineffective.
