I have been smoking marijuana and am trying to stop and get back into running but when i run my chest hurts?y?



what do i do to get better? plz i miss running but this pain hurts really bad!!1

weed makes you tired. have u noticed that when you smoke it ur lazy sometimes and just wanna lay there anddo nothing? well when you stop smoking weed the affects are still ther elong after you smoke. It's just like cigs. they tire you out. i'd wait to start running untill you've gotten that stuff outta ur system all the way.

what you can do to get better is buy drinking a lot of water and taking it slow. to a little bit at a time in the gym and work your way up to running. it's like a warmup for your brain and body.

and if it hurts. stop. ur just gonna have to stop running for away. sorry :o)
Have you totally stopped? First I would get help with that, make sure you are handled on that point.

I know that there are detox and rehab centers which include running and other exercise and know how to ramp you up to it without as much pain.

Your lungs will clear themselves shortly and it won't hurt when you run as long as you don't smoke weed
been there before, start off swimming first, then exercise without running, like weights. Then move on to straight cardio.
If you really want to see what damage you have done to your lungs go and do some swimming and see how difficult it is to breathe!

You can run slower.... really really slow. That should help you, seriously. When you exercise you rmuscles need an increase in oxegenated blood. Consuming THC interferes with this process.

So, is it a stitch? Caused by lack of oxegen. Your lungs supply oxegen to your blood and your heart pumps oxegenated blood to your muscles. If your muscles need more oxegenated blood (which they do during physical exercise) your heart pumps faster. Your body is a simple biomechanical machine. Take deep breathes to increase the oxegen supply to your lungs. Rest to lower your heart rate.

A bit of maths next time you think about mulling up.... Use the figure 220. Now deduct your age. Now multiply the total by 80%. Take your pulse. Make sure your pulse stays around that calculated figure. Rest if you have to. Walk if you have to, until you can sustain that pulse rate. This should be comfortable. Don't mull up.
