How do i stop smoking with out a patch or not picking up any cigerits no more cause im only 15? HYPNOSIS OR THAT THING THEY DO TO YOUR EAR. wHO IS GIVING YOU CIGERTS? chew gum!! Willpower is key. Only YOU can stop yourself from picking up a cigarette, however, there are of course the products that can help you in the process. GO to a pharmacy or doctor, and they can possibly give you free or cheaper patches, etc. They will not judge you because for your age - after all, you are going there to kick the habit. Just remember help is at hand. Use the resources available to you! If you do end up having a cigarette when you are trying to quit, do not lose faith and don't give up. You are young. Just be persistant! Good luck! SERIOUSLY JUST DONT SMOKE ANYMORE I MEAN YOU ARE 15 HOW ADDICTED COULD YOU POSSIBLY BE? YOUR ONLY ADDICTION SHOULD BE THE MALL! SMOKER FOR 8 YEARS SHOULD HAVE STOPPED WHEN I WAS 15 BUT DIDNT WANT TO STARTED WHEN I WAS 12 NOW 20 MOTHER OF 3 AND 1 ON THE WAY I would stay away from friends and family that smoke.Plus i would have a friend to help me kick the habit. Its been 2 years for me since i stopped and i stopped cold turkey. Congrats! I'm glad you want to quit! Support is key. if your parents are willing, you can talk to them and ask them for support- not guilt trips, just support. You ARE trying to do the right thing. A couple of other things- There are 2 main reasons you will want to pick up another smoke- 1)sub-concious triggers (look up Dr Pavlov- he was a Russian psychologist who studied this). You'll need to get rid of the things that trigger your desire to smoke- flavors, friends, places, etc. Try a big swig of grapefruit juice after each meal, brush your teeth first thing in the morning and just before bed (brush with the nastiest tasting toothpaste you can find!!), a new flavor of gum, etc. 2) when nicontine levels get low. Ask your parents to get you a big bottle of vitamin C- it helps your body get rid of the nicotine faster. Other helps- 3) Be sure to tell your friends that you are quiting and that you want their support. Let them know that if they are going to smoke, you won't be able to hang around them (b/c their smoking will only make you want one, and why make it harder than it already is?) 4) Pray- God wants you to be free of this slavery even more than you do, and He will help- just ask Him!!
