Effects of giving up smoking?

hi just wanted to know if when you give up smoking can if effect you periods.
i given up smoking about 3/4 weeks ago and my period is late a bit worried hopefully someone can help
thanks for you time folks

Well have you been feeling stressed and agitated? Smoking certainly causes stress, and stress causes late periods, so it does make some sense. But if there's any chance you could be pregnant, do take a test asap. No point in having it play on your mind if the answer is so easy to get...
Em not sure ... ???

I quit smoking 26.05 this year and I didn't notice a difference but boy did the weight go on :-( Thankfully it's all coming off again now .. lots of walkin everynite :-)

Maybe ring the doc or local hosp ... doubt you have to worry tho ... the more you worry bout it being late the later it will be ... try not to think about it :-)
I've never heard of this and I checked a few sites and didn't find anything. I'm thinking you may want to get a pregnancy test. Good Luck.
yes they have affected mine, i gave up smoking 56 days ago and i was late, its just your body reajusting back to normal :o)
