I want to stop smoking?

i have tried every thing trying to quit and i can not stand the withdrawel part of it. i've tried nicatine patches(which made me sick) and cold turkey and all kinds of advice but nothing so far has worked please help me!my nerves are shot trying to figure out what to do next.

Ask your doctor about Wellbutrin. Wellbutrin is a medication used generally for the treatment of depression but it is also used and widely prescribed to help people quit smoking. It eliminates cravings and the desire to smoke with little to no side effects (as long as your are not allergic to it, which I was, but most people are not). Source(s): Personal experience and work in the medical field

OK I have smoked for 20 years and finally quit cold turkey back in October of 2006 because I found out I am pregnant. You have to really want to quit. I couldn't even take prescription meds to help me because of an allergic reaction. the cravings will not go away unless you take them one day at a time. Take deep breaths and go outside for fresh air, walk around and try to distract yourself from the "need" to have a cigarette feelings.
They do pass after a few minutes and you will feel so good about yourself every time you resist the urge. I know it is hard but you have to really try hard if you are going succeed.
If I can do it I know anyone can it takes a while to get over it but eventually you do. I am lucky that my pregnancy helped me because the smell of a cigarette or smoke or even an ashtray makes me nauseous and if you think about how bad the smell is you won't want it either. Good Luck
Nobody likes a quiter! It's a matter of will power. The first realistic step is to cut back. To do this change brands. Buy the cheapest cigs on the market, if you don't smoke menthol-buy them in menthol. This will help, you'll still want to smoke-but when you light up, you'll reget it. Eventually, you'll get to the point were you just don't want it anymore. As far as the nicotine withdrawls, try skoal bandits. It's dip, in pouches so it won't make a mess in your mouth. It comes in a variety of flavors, and will give you the nicotine your body needs. Be forwarned, trying to quit with out assistance will result in weight gain. Half of smoking is an oral fixation. With out a cig in your mouth, food with take it's place. You can also try cigar cigarettes or just strait up cigars.
