Is it normal to be tired after quitting smoking?

I have been cig free for almost 2 weeks and for the past couple of days I have been really tired mid day. I take naps when I need to but I normally don't have to. Any suggestions?

Although you should be over the physical effects of the nicotene addiction, the mental stresses of quitting smoking are still there. The stress of trying not to smoke may be why you are feeling tired. Quitting smoking is hard, and your body may internally know that the only time you don't crave cigarettes is when you're sleeping... so those little impulses in your head that are craving a smoke may know that if you sleep, the craving passes easier. So, you could see your recent tiredness as your body's way of helping you stay a non-smoker! Good luck and keep it up! It will get easier with time.
I quit almost 5 weeks ago and I was very tired at first also. So I think it is pretty normal
get yourself some serious nutrition. when i quit smoking on was nearly on my knees through feeling tired. Go to www.myhealthabc.com teh website is mostly about weight loss but they have the best supplements to get you feeling energised. A friend of mine recommended them to me and I've never looked back. You just fill in some details and then you can buy from their mall. There is also a link to the owners email, you need click on this and let them know no to call you, otherwise they will do. They are real nice anyway but if you want something to stop you feeling tired ask them in the email and they will point you in the right direction. I use the formula 1 mix and their multivitamins, they also have some stuff called lift off which does exactly what it says!! Now I have got the right stuff in my system each day I feel great. Try them you wont be dissapointed.
