How bad is it to smoke pot while been pregnant?

First of all, smoking anything during pregnancy deprives the baby of oxygen. Just as smoking tobacco is discouraged in pregnant women, so is smoking marijuana. Smoking anything interferes with the fetus's blood supply. This can mean the baby doesn't get enough oxygen, and s/he may be born smaller in both weight and length. Smaller babies have a higher risk of other problems after birth, such as infections, difficulty feeding, breathing problems, low blood sugar, difficulty regulating temperature, bleeding into the brain, and problems with vision.

Babies whose mothers have used marijuana during pregnancy or while breastfeeding sometimes seem jittery and difficult to comfort. They may have some delay in the development of their motor skills.

I suggest you tell your friend to STOP now! She doesnt realize it, but she is harming her baby.

Very bad, and if you even have to ask that question, you do not deserve to be a mother. I just can't understand why you would even want to know that if you are pregnant, wouldn't you want to give your child the best possible start to life??

Well since pot is illegal, that means that it is safe during pregnancy because Cigarettes, alcohol and really lame things like aspirin are all legal but are not safe to use while pregnant, now grow up and quit asking dumb questions.
If you smoke pot while pregnant, you could give your child even more of a risk birth defects. If you are pregnant and have done this, maybe not even knowing you were pregnant, I would talk to your DR, or call a pregnancy clinic. But bottom line, you need to stop.
What enters your blood stream enters your baby's system. What responsible mother to be would do that to her child?
