Doctors found a spot in my chest on an xray im 24 and have smoked for 12 years what could it be? Stay positive!!!!! It could turn out to be a smudge on the x-ray. Why don't u ask this to your Doctor Well, could be the big C. But let your doctor tell you and not the yahoos of yahoo answers. We are not medical professionals for the most part. Don't panic and good luck. P.S. Stop smoking. Even if it's not cancer, it is bad for your health. you've smoked for 12 years and you're only 24???? How many packs a day? It could be something serious-- don't think it's cancer, but it's always possible if you've smoked for so long already. Are you having breathing problems, coughing a lot? Did the doctor speak with you about the X-rays? It's kinda vague when you say a spot-- we'd need to see the actual radiograph to give an educated answer. The same thing happened to me. My doctor found a dark spot on my x-ray. I had a MRI done and it proved it to be nothing. They said it was probably scar tissue from pneumonia. Ask your doctor about further test. You need to put your mind at ease. Good luck. You might have lung cancer. Hopefully you don't have cancer but quit smoking anyway. Your lungs can clean themselves up but not if you don't quit. could be granuloma or lung nodules. as long as they dont get bigger its ok. |
