Stress and my period?

I have been under severe stress since last week and yesterday I started having a little red tint when I wipe. Will stress cause you to have a period earlier than normal? I shouldnt start my period till the end of the month and I have an IUD so I know Im not pregnant, any advice?

Stress can cause all kinds of funky symptoms with your period... it sounds normal to me. It can make you early, late, on and off, heavy, light... usually whatever will be most inconvenient! If it goes on for a while I would get it checked out.

Also, even an IUD isn't 100% so if you are having other symptoms you may want to get that checked, as well.
