Can Stress Cause...?

I Have ALOT Of family troubles latley like seriously bad, thinking about killing myself etc, really depressed + stressed and was wondering if stress/depression can cause;
1) my asthma to worsen
2) palpitations
please help me yahoo answers people :D

just to add im only 15years old aswell

Absolutely.
If you are thinking about killing yourself, please remember you are not the only one who feels like this from time to time.
Once when I felt that way, I read something that helped me get a different perspective. See the link below.

Also, stress can do all kinds of things to your body. I started having panic attacks a few years ago because of some problems I was going through. I thought I was dying. My heart was racing. I felt lightheaded and weak. I had shooting pains in my chest and left arm. I thought it was a heart attack. But it was stress and depression.

I recommend you try to find a good therapist. And don't give up if the first person you talk to doesn't understand what you are saying. If you can't find a therapist, please try a hotline, or at least calling a friend to talk about some of what you're going through with your family.

I found that talking about the things that were bothering me helped a lot. Even though it didn't change the past or make my problems miraculously disappear, I felt better able to handle it and move on.

All the best.

Stress kills over time...it can cause heart problems..so maybe that explains the palpitations. I have Asthma..and I do think it can make it worse, because once I had an asthma attack, and my dad was panicing and was like stop coughing control yourself, and I got stressed and started coughing even worse. Depression supresses your immune system and ultimately lead to you getting sick more often. I dont think depression can cause palpitations though.

Well stress related panic attacks, can cause palpitations for sure, and panic attacks can also give you the feeling of not breathing well...check out this site.
