I am dealing with a lot of stress due to exams. How should I deal with it?

I'm a junior in high school and this is the time of year where I have to take exams day after day. It's a lot for me and I was hoping that you could give me tips on how to deal with it. Thanks!

what i find really helpful is when you take your seat in the exam room and wait while everyone settles and the teachers get things ready close your eyes and breath deeply, try and forget where you are for a while and focus on the reason you are doing the exams, maybe to get a gd job in the future, or even just so that they will be over and you can celebrate with your friends - it helps to calm your nerves before you start

also try not to look at the books right before the exam, trying to cram things the night before is never going to happen and will just make you panic that you dont know some things

after each days exams are over do something you really enjoy as a reward, something really simple such as listen to your fav cd / watch your fav movie

I just finished my freshman year in high school and I just got through all the final exam stuff so maybe I can help you out.

First of all, make a plan for yourself. Say maybe if you staudy for an hour you get 10 minutes to yourself, just enough time to clear your mind and maybe get some food or whatever. When you study, don't do it in front of a TV and dont have music on, unless it really helps you, but be honest to yourself about that one.

But most of all remember, it's one test per class. It's not the end of the world if you know you did your best but you don't do so hot on it. If you didn't put any effort into studying thats a different story. But just picture yourself when you are retired and living in a nice ocean front home, or wherever you desire, is that exam from your junior year going to matter?

Take drugs.....and lots of it!!! lol

nah...im kidding, what i used to do is, not think about all the tests that im about to take, and just take it one exam at a time, i know "not very realistic" but i you could give it a try.

or you could take an hour to your self after school
relax, take a deep breath, drink some tea, and then start brain storming and then a couple of hours later take a half hour to your self drink some more tea relax, and then go at it again.

when you get stress during your study,
take 10 minutes for yourself.
close your eyes and take a deep breath..
move your body (do stretching)
pray
drink a glass of warm tea

after back from school don't study immidiately.
take time for 30 min rest makes you consentrate better

do not sleep too late. you won't be focus if you don't get enough sleep.

take a piece of chocholate and pray before test help you to calm down.

sorry there really is nothing you can do!

i sat my exams just last month and honestly by the end i was ready for throwing in the towel!

the only advice i can give you is to take some time off studying maybe one day a week go to the pictures with your friends or go shopping to take your mind off your exams

eat lots of sugar and just do your best!!

good luck!XX

Exercise is often very helpful. You need to identify something that works for you. Ways to take care of yourself. Bubble baths? Hot tea? If you could do anything just for you, what would it be? Do you have any hobbies you love? They provide you with energy to tackle life again.

If it is really bad ask your Doctor about beta blockers...they are used with many people who experience performance anxiety.

just relax when u get home, take a long shower, and clear your mind, walk around the block wit a frend neighbor, cuzin. hope u feel better!

Lots of sleep. It is always easier to deal with things when you are not tired.

having an evening jog... or swim if you do...

it exerts some stress.. and gives you time to clear your mind
