Can Stress Really make you to miss your period?

I am 2 weeks late but i have not had un-protected sex (me and my boyfriend always use condoms since i am not on the pill) so i know i am not pregnant, I am wondering if stress could be the cause of my missing period?

i did not just recently start my period i am 21. i have had it for some years now.
and it isnt usually irrgular.

Yes, stress can delay your period...I'm 20 and it happens to me once in a while. I was once so stressed out with exams that mine was three weeks late. Ugh...that was the worst period of my life.

Don't stress, it will come!!!

Good luck!

There are a few factors that can impact lateness of a period. Stress CAN prolong the start of your period and so can an irregular period, lack of nutrition, eating disorders, and excessive exercising.

If you have been extra stressed lately it can definitely interfere with your menstrual cycle, and stressing over a missed period can add to your anxiety.

If you are in any pain and are still worried- make an appointment with your GYN. Also, any form of birth control, including condoms, are not always 100% effective. Get an over the counter test to ease your worries.

It is always better to get a dr.'s opinion as well... good luck sweetie!

Yes.

Find a good Chinese Herbalist/Acupuncturist in your area @ www.acufinder.com.

The Liver is responsible for the free flow of blood in the body. Also indicated when emotions are not smooth. Something as simple as taking the proper herbal formula (as well as periodic acupuncture treatments) will help regulate your period.

Your acupuncturist will explain this fully. The earlier you get this under control, the better. The longer you let something go, the longer it takes to get back to "normal".

YES. Stress can delay the period. Even strong stress can stop periods. Everything depend how healthy are you, how strong was the stress and how sensitive are your body and your hormones.
