How do you keep work stress/anxiety at work and not bring it home with you?

I come home and sometimes lay awake for hours at night worrying about things that will happen or have happened at work...sometimes I get anxiety attacks after I get off work about things that have happened during the day...

What's a good way to leave all that stress at work?

It sounds like your job is crazy.

the only thingyou have control over is yourself. do your best at work, stay out of the drama if you can andjust do good work.

When you grt home make sure you have some type of exercise routine, walking. running, cycling, something that makes you sweat. Eat well, spend time with friends, laugh at a few good sit-coms. Whenever thoughts of work start creeping in tell yourself, "I did my best today and there is nothing I can do about that right now."

Then start looking for a new job. This level of anxiety/stress isn't healthy

I have the same problem due to extreme drama at work. They always threaten us with being fired for whatever and then people have been fired for things. I get worried that whatever I do might be misinterpreted. I always try to do the right things at work, but it sometimes bothers me at home after work that the higher ups might not see it that way. Try to chalk it up to the fact that you can't do anything about it until whatever result happens, otherwise it will eat you up inside. Or you could seek therapy to get over the anxiety. Talk to your primary health care doctor or look in the phone book for therapists in your area.

don't worry about something that is not in ur hands.Who knows?Whatever ur worrying about may not even happen .Even if it does u will find some solution at that time.so y worry b4 hand?

Yoga's real good for that; and regular exercise too.
