How much weight loss during stress is normal?


I have been under a great deal of stress for the past month and in 3 weeks I have lost 22 pounds. I went from an 8/10 to a 4/6. I'm starting to wonder if it is more than stress. Btw, I AM eating. I love to eat. I seem to eat more under stress but it does tend to be icecream and whipped cream. I have also started experiencing extreme panic attacks.

Eating is good! It's probably from the anxiety. I have similar issues except that I couldn't eat for a month because of digestive issues from stress and lost about the same amount in a short time. Try this book. It really helped me and is still helping me and others I know. I've been able to eat more now and have maintained a current weight for awhile now.

You also may want to look into eating healthier. When we are stressed out we tend to eat poorly and our resistance is lower and we make ourselves sick. Try cutting out sugars and caffeine for awhile-except for fruit-and you may feel better. It will help reduce the panic attacks too. But the book is great!
