My upper left eyelid has been twitching for 3 weeks. im not tired or stressed. my natropath says it must be a?

magnesium deficiency and wants me to buy an expensive tablet from her but when i look up eye twitches it doesnt say anywhere that it could be due to a magnesium deficiency. please advise?

Any type of drug therapy for Blepharospasm (eye twitches) is hit and miss, no guarantee of success with anything. Some work for some people and not for others. I'd say it's really not worth spending a bunch of money on. A lack of Magnesium is generally believed to be a part of eye twitching but it's far from proven and again taking extra magnesium is unpredictable. You say you're not stressed or tired but do you use your eyes intensively? A lot of computer work for example or fine motor work that needs a sharp eye? You can get tiredness of the eyes without tiredness of the body. Other conditions that can contribute to it are:
Caffeine, Alcohol, Dry eyes, Nutritional imbalances and Allergies.
There's an excellent article here from a sufferer with eye twitches, he explains the different types and how to prevent them:
