Not sure if i have a stress fracture or shin splints?

During the end of my last track season, i started to get a pain on my shin. My lower calf was always tight and caused my shin to hurt. When track was over i took 3 weeks off. When i started back up again after a week i could feel it coming back. I took another three weeks off and started back up again. Its been about two weeks, and i can still feel the pain in my shin.It doesn't hurt alot, its kinda just aches. Its hurts on one spot only. I ice it everyday. I can run through it easily but im not sure if i should. Im not sure if its a stress fracture or what. What do you guys think it is? What should i do?

It probably is more likely shin splints than a stress fracture, but only an x-ray is going to tell you for sure. It might be worth having one so that you know what you're dealing with. Regardless of which one it is, both are stress or pounding related injuries that occur with repetitive movement, in your case track sports. Unfortunately only rest is going to heal it completely and even then returning to track might reaggravate it, but only time will tell. You need to quit track for awhile, get it rested, get it x-rayed and once it starts to feel better then slowly progress back to track sports. It might be that some extra support such as a brace can keep it from returning, but you have to let it fully heal first.
