Any tips for Stress Busting?

I am 22, and have alot of stressful things going on, i have made myself that run down i have been off work all week ill, but have made myself worse by worrying. I am getting really down about everything. The thing is i am crying more and not able to eat properly and i have a constant headache.

I have tried warm baths, meditation, talking to friends and all the usual stuff. Just wondering if anyone has any alternative ways of relieving stress or at least being able to cope with it more efficiently.

Thanks

Thanks for the answers so far, but i have done the exercise, both contact and non-contact, and i listen to music all the time anyways. I am looking for something that isn't that well known.........if that makes sense.

I may have some of the answers your looking for. some you know some you don't but here goes.
#1Bust a gut; laughing is one of the greatest stress relievers of all.It makes the body produce endorphins.
#2Audit your stress; sit down and make a list of things that cause your stress, then separate them into two lists. things you can do something about and things you can't do anything about, and stop worrying about those things you can't so anything about.
#3look for the silver lining; The key to controlling stress is to monitor and challenge your negative thinking. when stressed about a leaky faucet think atleast i have a house. a mean boss think atleast i have a job.
#4Reevaluate your role in life; about your life your job. ask some hard questions and give some honest answers about work ethics, talents and true desires. then find the right match between your job and relationships.
#5Take a Zen break; do some deep breathing exercises espically when you start to feel stress buiilding.
#6soak yourself in a warm tub atleast 2 hours before bedtime. any sooner it will wake you up instead.
#7Hit the sheets;jwhen sex is good it is very good for relieving stress
#8Get a pet;ppl do have a need for touching and a pet is one of the few things that is socially acceptable in touching. iven looking at fish in an aquarium has a similara affect.
#9 Atreatch
#10Press your temples in a circular notion helps message nerves
#11 Have GOOD CRY is a wonderful stress reliever. it could be a good cry over old yeller or something. anything but cry. its a great stress reliever
hope some of these are helpful. im gonna go have a good cry now, i need it after all this typing!

you can make a stress ball!!! what u need....

Flour

a bowl

a ballon

a funnel

a pencil.

U put the ballon on the funnel and put flour in the funnel. use a pencil to shove if down. After it's full enough, tie it and squeze!!!

Masterbation...

No Im joking.

But that is just the thing. You need to laugh and by doing so you will relax internally. Comedy is a cure. I can't help you anymore than that. I find when im down and stressed to the max, a good laugh helps me relax.

:)

Excercise works ,also meditation

A punching bag really helps too.

music

exercise always works for me! good luck

...yes this will help you greatly give it a try.

1. every morning drink 1/2 to 1 ounce of red wine. it will relax your heart muscles and reduce your feeling of anxiety.

2. Black tea (the Chia type that contains ginger and cinnamon). This has scientifically been proven to reduce stress. Also add an ounce of lemon.

3. Other things I do....I take calcium/magnesium tablets. Lately I been taking some B vitamins also. My blood pressure shot way up before when taking them, now when I drink an ounce of wine in the morning I get the energy without the heavy heart pounding.

...I know it sounds strange but it works for me and I know it will work for others. I now have five others drinking black tea in my office, I did not tell them about the wine that came much later.

Cardiovascular exercise. Aerobics, running, jogging, treadmill, stair stepper, elliptical machine. Anything that gets your heart rate up for about 30 minutes will stop stress dead in it's tracks.

Stress is a conditioning response from an instinctive process that gets your body ready to battle it out. Whether it be chasing down prey to eat, or defending your turf from other predators. In a civilized world, we have all the stress inducing factors, but have no biological need to utilize the stress for it's purpose.

This is also the same reason that stress induces weight gain. Animals have a instinct that tells them when times get tough, they will need stamina and energy for later on so the body starts to store fat and get ready for a series of turf wars or a long winter without food..

Treat the symptoms, and you will find yourself with a full medicine cabinet. Treat the cause and you will be more healthy than your peers.
