Femoral neck stress fracture.? |
Two years ago, I had a femoral stress fracture when I was in the military. I went 5 weeks without treating (I had x-rays done one week after noticing the pain, they showed nothing so I assumed I just pulled something.) It dramatically got worse without treatment. To the point where it was far too painful to walk, and just lightly brushing it, it would throb so intensely, it felt like it lasted an eternity. LOL. Later, I had a bone scan done which showed the stress fracture. The doctor said that if I continue to run and so forth that it would break completely. So I went into a physical therapy program. There, the physical therapist instructor gave me one particular exercised called bridging (http://www.athleticadvisor.com/images/St... to strengthen the muscles surrounding the stress fracture. It was far too painful for me. When I did that exercise, I had intense, intense throbbing in my right butt cheek (the stress fracture was on the right side) And when I attempted to walk, it would sort of pinch or cause kind of a numbing effect. Anyway, the therapist told me to just stop doing that exercise. I think it is sciatic pain, and I think it is due to your spondylolisthesis. |
