When I am really stressed and close my eyes before bed, I see things?

When I close my eyes, I see people...men, children, weird things...most of the people i dont know!

I have been diagnosed with ptsd. does that have anything to so with it?

this a good website with information on PTSD:
www.ncptsd.va.gov
do you take any medication for PTSD? it can cause different types of chemical imbalances-
i know someone with PTSD who had the same issue. it was definately linked. she is on medication now that has helped her enormously. she had difficulty getting to sleep and had nightmares and now sleeps much better and goes to sleep easy- and all without the use of any narcotics or anything like that.
see a doctor about it, talk to someone about it.

Sometimes it feels as if we're awake when in fact we've just fallen asleep, or as if we're asleep when in fact we've just woken up. The borderline between the sleep-wake states can be confusing at times. It is possible for some processes in the mind-body to be awake while others are sleeping. Two terms you might want to research are hypnopompia and hypnagogia.

I don't know how PTSD affects the sleep-wake cycle although I would imagine it does affect it. You should talk to your doctor about this and perhaps ask for a referral to a sleep disorders clinic.

Another thing you could do is to learn to do relaxation techniques before bedtime or fall asleep listening to a subliminal relaxation tape.

I have narcolepsy and I know a bit about sleep disorders, however I am not a medical professional. I hope you find the answers you need for both your PTSD and sleep issues.

If they are related to the trauma, then it's probably related to the trauma. If not, it could just be ppl that you've seen during the day or recently that you did'nt consciously register. The subconscious is a powerful thing and that state between sleep and wakingfulness is a strange place. I wouldn't worry about it much. Then again, if it is distressing you, talk to your therapist or see one if you aren't already.

i would consider the paranormal, or spiritual. it's possible you have a gift!
if you've been diagnosed with ptsd ask yourself if these images are flashbacks from forgotten traumas. Maybe a part of you is empathizing with the universal human experience and trying to figure out what really happened. Maybe you're seeing other people's lives to see how they live. A pill is NOT the answer.

It may be stress related, but I doubt it's serious. It happens to me too quite often, and the only problem I have with it is that it makes it really hard for me to "switch off" at the end of the day, or having trouble sleeping.
I don't have PTSD, so I don't think it will be related, maybe it is just generic stress issues, that maybe a symptom of multiple problems.

well such things happens with me also.. and many-a-times i get intuitions of something that's going to happen.. mostly when something bad is going to happen... I have no idea whether it has nething to do with ptsd.. but i dont see such things due to stress..for sure..

Yes. That is not normal and is probably related to your PTSD. Talk to your doctor about it and follow the recommendations he/she gives you.

You have a gift . It is people from the other side.when you close your eyes ask to talk to a loved one .That is what I do. enjoy.

one thing can help you for that.when u close ur eyes..pray to God to guide you through the night til u wake up in the morning. that will be a big help...

try to relax, and if this continues maybe u should be consult a psychologist, because this is not the kinda stuff u should see when u are tired and stressed !

you just need a good sleep.some times we read to much into things..first try to get a good nights sleep..people can become psychotic from lack of sleep. once they sleep things get better.

You might just have problems, medicine is all you need :)

It's normal, nothing out of the ordinary.
Just don't think too much.
Get some rest !!!

Yeah... I'm sorry man that really sucks.
