How much stress? |
How much stress do u have to be under in order to have a heartattack?? I feel that i get stressed out way too much, i just was wondering if there's away to know when ur at the breaking point to where u can have a heartattack. and also what are some signs? i know about the sharp chest pains and something with the sholder, and shortness of breath but are there any others? I don't know where Sara is getting her information from, but the information I have researched says that most people pass it off as indigestion or heartburn. And heart attacks don't know age so asking how old you are doesn't matter. A friend of mine (37 years old) died in February of a heart attack. His girlfriend said he had been eating tums that morning trying to get rid of "heartburn". All of the sudden he says "Something isn't right" and fell on the bed and died. A 17 year old classmate of mine died out on the football field with a heart attack. All you can do is lead a healthy lifestyle, and get a physical including blood pressure and blood work and a stress test to where they can put you up on the treadmill and see how strong your heart is. Eliminate the stress that you can, whether it be laying out your clothes the night before and packing your lunch the night before going to work, making sure your car is gassed up so you don't have to do it while being in a hurry. I don't know if your married or single but do what you can to ease the stress in your life. Honestly I have found that cutting out my 3 mugs of coffee in the morning and walking at night has really done wonders for me. I tried all the meds like zoloft, lexapro and even Xanax, but I tend to have side effects on a lot of medications and I couldn't continue taking them. Here are the warning signs according to americanheart.org Chest pains, shoulder pains, and shortness of breath are more likely symptoms of stress, anxiety, etc..., not a heart attack. Go to the Dr. and get a blood pressure card or keep track of it on your own and then bring the results to your Dr. They can prescribe you medication for high blood pressure if they think you have it. The anxiety/stress part can be treated with regular exercise, a healthy diet, breathing exercises, and going to a therapist for stress. A heart attack can strike at any time. Heart attacks know no age limits. Contrary to poplar beliefs a heart attack can happen to anyone of any age. This is evident of the athlete that drops from a heart attack during a game. Evident also of the small child who dies of a heart attack while playing on the playground. What makes heart attacks so bad is the warning signs of a heart attack are not the classic signs of grabbing your right arm and falling to the ground in pain. That is why a heart attack is not always looked as the problem and treated in time properly. Even one should know how to spot a heart attack and what to do in the event that a loved one or themselves suffers from a heart attack. I would not wait around for an answer. I would ask your doctor to help you get it under control before you have one, Maybe even a good therapist. There are also good medications out there that can help you. I take effexor and it has helped my anxiety and my stress levels. But you may need a combination of things. How old are you? Don't worry your just having an anxiety attack. Have you been feeling like this for a while now? I'm telling you this cuz I felt the same way when I was stressed out and nervous I would have really bad chest pain, my left arm would get really numb and tingly my chest and back would be sore and ache for no reason. I was short in breath and felt terrible my heart was pumping like crazy but nothing ever happened. Either way you should see your doctor and make sure I did and I'm glad I did cuz I seriously thought i was going to die. You'll be fine! Experts say that you know when your having a heartattack. So i would imagine its like nothing that you have experienced before. If your under that much stress you need to cut out some of the pressure your under otherwise you will make yourself ill. um...you can monitor your blood pressure, which usually goes up when your stressed. high blood pressure can lead to a heart attack. you don't have to just be under stress to have a heart attack... your right arm should tingle or go numb.. also loss of color is common and sweating... |

Truly assess what's going on and identify what is within your power to influence and control versus what is not. Take action on what is, and let go of the rest. Too often we spin our wheels ... What utter rubbish. What should you do? Grow up! ...Eliminating the cause of any condition will help but it may not be a total cure if the condition has been allowed to progress. You're helping yourself by eliminating the stress. Let a doctor h... sure it can. i have scheduled exercise stress testing for this. (my doc has) but yes stress is not a helpful thing on many parts of the body, especially your heart. (at any age) see your doctor and... Similar but different... stress is from not knowing what you are doing at the moment... anxiety is from fearing unknown future events. ...When you get that feeling; take longer, slower breaths. When tense, you're taking shallow breaths and your chest muscles are deprived of oxygen and all muscle tissue responds to oxygen depriv... Make sure you listen to your body's signals to get some rest. ALLOW your self to heal. DON'T feel guilty for not "being there for others" when you need to be by your self. I ... |
