I am having trouble sleeping caused from stress - help? |
I am having trouble sleeping caused from stress does anyone know how I can get to sleep easier ? hi, ok im 3 for 3 in winning best answer award in response to this question, because my advice worked immediately for these 3 people. hopefully it will work for you. 1st of all, stop drinking anything with caffiene in it 4 hours before going to bed. no coffee, soda or tea. secondly, 30 minutes before bed, turn off the computer, tv, and/or video games. these are all brain stimulants and contain ultra red rays that promote brain stimulation. your brain stays active in order to stay awake right? so you need to unstimulate the brain to go to sleep. makes sense doesnt it?. id read something extremely boring. something that makes sleep sound better than finishing what your reading. do you have a pet? id lay down with a pet and just stroke its fur until you fall asleep. i have a very affectionate, lovable cat. i cuddle up with her, stroke her and listen to her purring happily. i fall to sleep quickly just listening to her purr. refrain from any activity that requires you to think. dont take a problem to bed with you or you'll be up all night reliving it in your mind. also you can buy CD's with the sound of the ocean on it. thats very soothing as well. Try a warm soak in the tub and 1 mg. melatonin and a glass of milk half-hour or hour before you go to bed. Read something in bed that you don't care if you finish -- light humor or something non-fiction, but not a "page-turner" novel you can't put down. You just have to find a way to get your mind to slow down long enouph to be able to fall alseep. What always works for me is doing somthing repetative you know like the counting sheep idea only I say my rosery, im not even very religiouse but before I can finish the second time around im out like a light. |

Stress is really odd. Some stress people will almost starve themselves, but the majority will at some time comfort eat. You comfort eat and find you are putting on weight, which guess what, makes... I try writting a short story or poem. Also I have been known to watch movies. And if that doesn't work I try to go somewhere quiet in my room and talk to God. Believe me sometimes when im ... anxiety neurosis , lots of exercise and meditation will help you , ...Only a doctor can tell for sure. Usually you need a x-ray (though many stress fractures won't show up until they start healing), bone scan, or MRI to tell for sure whether it's shin spli... Yes, excerise, stress, change in diet, all that can affect your peirod cycles. You said your cycles can be sometimes 40 days, i'd wait until day 40 before you start to stress even more. Sounds... you need to focus on your diploma, and your future. even though they are family, you need to distance yourself if they are causing you stress that really doesn't involve you. don't alwa... Lay on a hammock, and rest your eyes. Or you can always listen to ambient music, that is really comforting and will make you relax. :P ... |
