What are some ways to relieve stress??? I'm just curious about how most people relieve stress..? |
I know that exercising helps or doing fun things may help as well..such as watching a movie or going for a walk or picnic. What else can help?? The reason I ask is because stress is something that I feel I battle with in life and if there is anything that my help..I want to learn about it! It really depends on the person. Everyone has their own nitch, you know? Just think of the one (or more) things you really like to do. What is it that makes you feel the most @ peace when you do it? Like I come from a family of artists. I like to write poetry, or draw sometimes when I am stressed. Or sometimes people just need "me time". Just go somewhere peaceful...like the park or something, and just take some time to forget about the world...even if its just for 20 minutes. lol Listening to music or even talking to a person who you really trust, friend, family member, etc. It all depends on you. Taking a walk in the park, or even at the beach, may well work. Whenever you feel stressed out, wherever you may be, stop what you are doing, and tell yourself, relax, and go out where you may have the opportunity to relax. I read those trashy gossip mags (disgusting, I know). Sometimes I find giving myself a pedicure or manicure kinda clears my mind because I'm just concentrating on painting my nails and not on my myriad of issues. :) A hot bath with some candles and a glass of wine is always nice too. Do you have pets? Studies show that giving affection to your pet can significantly reduce stress levels. My doggy seems to calm me down. Johnny Drama masterbates. But I would just try and think clearly. You can control your stress. You just need to find what works for you. Take deep breaths, or just try and get away from what is stressing you. Remind yourself life happens. it is to be enjoyed, not understood. My Dad used to hang up on me on the phone when I was being rude or starting to stress him. When I would call back to aplogize he would just tell me that he hung up because I sure as hell wasn't gonna ruin the good day he was having. Just try and avoid stressful situations... Good Luck.... i usually go for a long jog, either that or LOTZ of chocolate and music, or a really good book to get lost in, but i always have a stress ball on the side in case i really need it....depends on how mad u are, if i get really mad b4 i do ne of this i usually need to scream in a pillow, i mean REALLY scream it sounds stupid, but believe me it hecca helps! I bought this wonderful book called The Doctors Book of Food Remedies. I love food so what better way to heal myself....lol Anyway, there are several suggestions. One is to get your daily vitamin b6. It helps by raising the level of dopamine, a chemical in the brain that is related to feeling good. I usually get stressed when i have too much on my mind. Get a punching bag & hit it as hard as you can. Really works. Sex is the best stress reliever for me and my husband, moreso if you have an orgasm. i write, or if I am tired of writing, I knit or crochet... Talk to my GF, complain to her :) |
