What kind of activity helps to calm down stress? |
I've been into alot os stress on studing for enrichment in high school, worrying on SAT tests, and also on colleges. I know that it's a common stress, but it's really killing me. Any breathing exercises- Yoga and pilates are great because they really do focus on breathing and have been proven de-stressors. Try a simple breathing meditation. Relaxation breathing over the short haul. Meditation (focus or mindfulness - though I personally would recommend mindfulness) will really change your relationship to stress over the longer haul. Teaches you that everything changes and that stressing over things over which you have no control has no purpose at all. Get candles if you can (you find the scent that relaxes you the most on your own). Just take ten minutes out of your day to sit back and clear your head. Take some deep breaths and relax your body. Pay attention to the way you breathe more, and how fast your heart is always going. When I get stressed sometimes I can hear my heart beat in my ears. Just try and slow down a bit, it is more healthy to take things slower. i can imagine. i go through it alot. when that happens to me i tend to get myself to do something i enjoy. i walk or so swimming. or i listen to music. love it. makes me feel better. or u should do something that makes ur mind feel at easy. go out and think about nothing and have fun. just do something that u like to do. and it will help u. Go jog around the block or let yourself watch something funny. a really good thing to do is.. run it makes you release endorphins that cause stress. and it makes you feel better about yourself.. swimming could be good. reading a book that really interests you. repetitive things,walking.running.meditation.......... breathing.......... try going to a spa/jacuzzi by urself i'd take a brake and go and meet some friends somewhere locally and just enjoy their company and a few drinks... |
