Can stress make your period start early?

I ended mine like 2 1/2 weeks ago or something and I normally get mine farther apart. Anyway, I've been really stressed lately and now my period came, so I was wondering if this is just stress or something?

It always worked like that for me.

Traumatic breakup, period started early.
Car accident, period started early.
Altitude sickness, period started early.
Apartment robbed, period started early.

Some of us are just like that. The least little thing goes wrong, and your uterus says "Abandon ship!"

Yes your cycle gets messed up when you are stressed or are malnourished. They usually go back to normal after a month or two. You have nothing to worry about. My younger sister got her period and since girls who live togethers periods go in sync, mine comes a week early now. I've had my period for a while now so it was regular but now it's switched weeks. It's not really a problem.

Yes it can. It can also make you skip it, or it may even end early.

well usually being stressed or worried causes it to come later. so i'm really not sure, but it's nothing to worry about. just irregular this time. :]

yep. it can make it come earlier or later or you could skip your period entirely. ive found that my PMS symptoms ie headaches backaches etc are a lot worse when this happes

stress can definitely effect your menstrual cycle.

Stress has lots of effects on the body. So it's quite possible.

yes. it can make it come earlier and later.

I don't think so.

maybe, if it never happened before than I think that is the reason why

yes or late
