How can I handle school stress better?

Today was my second day of school, and my first real day of school. I'm a freshman, so I'm trying to adjust to high school. Today, I was doing some math homework, and didn't have a calculator with me (it was in my room). I had forgotten about the homework, and started freaking out because that meant I would have to shower later. I began doing the problems without calculator help, and became so frustrated that I just started crying over my math homework.
Two years ago I became so stressed with school (note: I'm NOT proud to admit this, and the stress WAS entirely my fault) that I started cutting myself. I would just go home, freak out, and...well, you know the rest.
Last year I would do my homework at school, during lunch, or right before my class. Lord knows how I passed.
So, yesterday and today, as soon as I got home I got out my stuff and began working right away. Yet over that one little sheet that I didn't do right away, I panicked.
What can I do to be more relaxed?
Also, at school, when I'm in a class where I barely know anyone, I get really pissy and upset. I grow extremely insecure, like I'm just a part of the scenery. Then, when I have a class with my friends, I'm incredibly loud and obnoxious. Then I make continuous bitchy comments to annoying people. I don't want to always be so angry...

P.S. I did find my calculator and finish my math homework correctly...

I'm a freshmen also, a step from middle school to highschool is huge, and you get WAY more homework... the 3rd day... i got 2 major reports, and about a total of 9 worksheets... and a bunch of notes to write xD.... Honestly, you won't do this, but I smoke weed. It relaxes me and balances me out, without it i wouldnt even be able to do my homework when im stressed lol...

wow..
i'd love to kno the answer to that sweetheart..
bcuz that sounds exactly like me.
and unfortunatly i havent really found a way to deal with those things..
its still happening.
