Diarrhea due to stress and depression?

Ok, just last week was my HELL week. I had my final exams for school for three consecutive days(Wednesday-Friday) and i even had some projects to do that are due in that week( thesis typing, oral defense for thesis, and etc.). NOT ONLY THAT, in that week was i also depressed and very anxious about my health. I was worrying about whether I was going to lose my life due to an infectious decease, which is very embarrassing to talk about, that i PROBABLY have acquired(though im 60%positive that im not). Im not really sure if i was really stressed out or depressed completely during that whole week. There were times when i feel fine and ok, but i still keep thinking and worrying a bit about my condition during those "ok moments".
Anyways, i started having weird feelings(abdominal pains?) in my stomach during the Wednesday of that week and then turned into diarrhea on Thursday. I still have have those stomach movements and some pains up until now(Sunday) and had defecated wet stools.

so what do u think guys? is it caused by stress? can it even be caused by stress?

Yes, it's most likely due to the stress. You may even have IBS, which is caused mostly by stress. If you are still worrying about the "infectious disease", go get tested, and get rid of that worry.

Possible very possible

yes stress can lead to explosive diarhea

It is totally normal to have a physical reaction to stress. It can come in the form of headaches, body aches, digestive issues (like diarrhea or acid reflux), insomnia, etc...not having a positive outlet like exercise can cause this to be worse. Obviously you were super busy and maybe you didn't eat as well as you usually do, sleep as well, or excercise. The stress you were experiencing probably affected your body as well as some of your thoughts, causing you to obsessed about catching a disaease. It took some of the stress away from the tests/project stuff as a coping mechanism to get you through it all.

Take some over the counter meds for the diarrhea and rest up. Also make sure you do something nice for yourself that you enjoy to help you get back to how you felt before the exam crunch.
