How do you stop cravings and binges even while stressed? |
I just probably binged on over 1000cal. of chocolate, candy, and chips. I am frustrated to let my stress and cravings get the best of me. I am on a diet and am a college synchronized swimmer. I usually eat healthy but once in a while I have huge cravings and just binge for stress that sometimes I don't even know about. water normally helps with my cravings. take a run. excerise. get your mind off it....go for a long drive. listen to music really loud. stress gets the best of everyone every once in a while. tlak to someone. especially if you arent sure what you are stressing about. good luck You need to relax, find someone to talk to about your stress... but eat what you crave... just don't OD on it.... BREATH well if you stay in chape by swimming, and your aware that binging is a problem, i dont think you have much to worry about. i mean, if your scared that you cant control it, then you might want to talk to your doctor( just call him, no need to make an appointment right away) they might just say its normal, or they might want to see you, either way it cant hurt.. but for the most part, eeeeveryone does this!! its a heII of a lot better than smoking or drinking away your stress, plus its only once in a while, right? we all get stressed sometimes, and its ok to find a way(even if its not so diet friendly) to deal, just double check with the doctor to make sure your not gonna hurt yourself!! good luck and dont worry, im sure you are just fine =0) try to just forget about the binge and think about something more important. If you dwell on it for too long, you'll start to feel guilty and overwhelmed, and it will turn into a cycle and you might do it again. Incorporate little treats into your regular diet so you can get used to eating just one peice of chocolate instead of a whole box, and that should stop huge cravings later on if you've been depriving yourself on your diet. You can also find something else to do when you get the urge...maybe take a walk around the block, or a drive in the car, or do something crafty...just something to switch your focus from food to something else. Exercise also helps with stress, and if you are active enough, you probably won't have to lower your calorie intake so you won't feel deprived. control over urself is in ur hands and the best way of gaining control on ur body and on ur mind is meditation .learn meditation and experience the great benefits of it. Talk to your doctor about Meridia / Reductil. u just say i am powerless my self god help me then u feel realex just accept as you are dont fight let go |
