In the UK yes it is.

If you belong to a union get in touch with them, they can arrange for someone to be with you and/or give you advice.

If you are not in a union my advice would be to have a witness with you.

Good Luck

Yes they may be concerned that your ob is the cause of your stress and can talk with you and try and make work less stressfull for you. They may ask you to see the company dr if your illness is long term
yes it's standard but if your not happy with someone try speaking to your union they should give you advice even if your not a member
a friend had the same thing happen
I don't think it's normal but it's certainly not right!! When I was signed off with stress a few years ago my employer rang me to see when I'd be back, and when I got in touch with my HR dept and the citizens advice bureau I was told they shouldn't have done it. (surprise surprise!!) You could always contact the C.A.B if it's worrying you a lot? Take care honey.
yes in the uk, the company i work for arrange a home visit with the personnel manager if youve been sick for 4 weeks or more,
definately yes, my dad is a manager and he had to do the same thing to one of his employees.

what are you stressed about, if there is a problem with something you should sort it out!! lifes too short!!
