Is stress causing my appetite to change? |
I usually eat a lot - I love to eat, and I'm one of those people who eats when they're bored. (I'd like to add that I'm not overweight.) I just moved to a new city where I don't know anyone, and so far I'm not liking my new job too much. My appetite has gone way down. I'm eating two very small meals a day - for lunch I had a tiny bit of pasta and half a Diet Coke before I felt stuffed, and this evening for dinner I made myself a small microwavable chicken pot pie and I couldn't even finish it. This has never happened to me before? Am I okay? being stressed can cause your appetite to change. it really depends on the person how it changes. when I get really stressed out or worried, I just can't seem to eat. most people overeat when they feel bad, stress can also cause you to lose your appetite along with sleep and all that. If it continues for more than a month or so, I'd try seeing a doctor. At least that's around the time it's recommended to make sure it's not something more serious. But there's a good chance that your appetite has changed because of stress. Yes, stress and nervousness can definitely affect your appetite. Give yourself some time to settle in. You can probably find a good singles group at a church in your area and meet some people that can help you feel more at home. no.. but in due time, you'll be okay..until you get used to your new environment.. yes stress can change your appetite but in some cases it is alright at least you can drop some of those unwanted pounds and also feel better and even look better.Sorry that you are stressed but you should be glad to shed off some weight. Food is so soothing and satisfying. Usually stressed people eat more. hmmm Wish I could eat a tiny bit and be full. I would say you are lucky but then again, I don't know you and maybe you will need more nutrition.... hard to say. Stress can arise for a variety of reasons. Any change in our lives can be stressful. In dealing with stress, the lifestyle needs a complete overhaul. We should be placed on an optimum diet, and take regular exercise and adequate rest.
