Is it True that if you think your going to have a stroke drinking Kahlua can save your life?

um no...no it is not remotely true. If you are having a stroke you need to call 911. THAT IS IT!! No asprin. This is because it is possible you are having a hemorragic stroke and not a ischemic stroke. Or in other words you could be bleeding into your brain instead of having a blockage in a blood vessal in your brain. Taking asprin would inhibit your bloods ability to clot. Meaning you could bleed into your brain until you die.

Yea, because drinking alcohol before you have a stroke will definitly decrease the chances of a stroke happening.

No! Taking a small amount of asprin won't help either, thats advice for heart attacks not a stroke.

If you suspect someone has a stroke, dial 911/999 and get an ambulance ASAP. Do not give them anything to eat or drink.

You should also do a FAST test, check if they can smile or wink, move their arms (wave) and speak. If all three fail, they are having a stroke.

Facial weakness - can the person smile? Has their mouth or eye drooped?

Arm weakness - can the person raise both arms?

Speech problems - can the person speak clearly and understand what you say?

Test all three symptoms

Having a stroke is having too much blood pressure. You can't relieve pressure by drinking anything. You must release the pressure in your blood. It can be done by pulling your ear until it is red, or making a small hole at the tip of your finger using a clean needle, the pressure will go there.

I agree with prettykitty, but most first responders / EMTs etc I've talked to disagree with testing for arm drift by having them raise both arms.

Why?

Because if they are having a stroke and they see that they cannot raise their own arm, they'll probably panic, which is bad.

Instead, have them squeeze two of your fingers with both of their hands at the same time. If one side is weaker than the other, that may be a sign of a stroke.
