I want to help a friend who has had a stroke,so can anyone tell me where to start? |
She lives in another country and I sometimes buy nutritional products for her .I now need some nutritional products for her brain.Any thoughts? They need to be natural and organic. She can't move, can't speak and is fed thru a feeding tube. But is VERY AWARE of her surroundings. just be a good friend, visit often, talk to her about whats happening with you and any mutual people, get her interested in life. Are you talking about natural products to FEED her? If she is in a nursing home, they will not allow you to put anything into her feeding tube. Visiting her if you can, sending her tapes to listen to, making audio tapes of your memories of your times together that she can listen to all will help her pass the time each day. If she is in a home or hospital then don't mess with her food. They are probably not going to give it to her. They will have her diet all figured out with calories and sugars and all those things taken into consideration. |
