Morning High Blood Pressure鈥?How can I tell I have it? What can I do about it? Causes Stroke??

When I wake up every single morning, my heart starts to thump as if I鈥檓 running鈥?Does that indicate High Morning Blood Pressure? Should I be worried?

The last time I went to see a doctor my blood pressure was 120/70I THINK it is 70bt I KNOW the12 is correct.&that was while I was freaking out because I get anxiety when I go to the doctor.

They say on the radio that most strokes are caused by Morning High Blood Pressure.

My heart thumps really鈥淟oud鈥?amp;really Fast in the morning鈥ometimes I feel I need to stay there for a min& try2slow it down because it concerns me.

I don鈥檛鈥?have one of those blood pressure monitors& don鈥檛 have the cash for one but would the morning hard &fast thumping be a sign of high morning blood pressure?

How exactly do u go about fixing a blood pressure issue that ONLY happens when I wake up?The rest of the time my blood pressure is normal2low鈥ed鈥檚 work ALLTHETIME,so how would you 鈥榯arget鈥?such a short period of time when things are 鈥榙angerous鈥?

I always take my blood pressure in the morning. I dint think you can feel when your blood pressure is high. Sounds like anxiety to me

Well, I think the best way to know is take it in the mornings regularly. Get a blood pressure tester, monitor, whatever it is called that is easy to use or have someone that is with you check it, every morning.====

You could possibly have mitral valve prolapse. My daughter has it and her heart reacts that way, just not always in the morning. She also has a rapid heartbeat a lot. Another thing could be a heart murmur. One out of every ten women have mitral valve prolapse. I have high blood pressure, but mine doesn't act that way. Mine just feels like all of my blood is going to the top of my head. They say you can't even tell when your blood pressure is high, but I certainly can.

maybe you can get a used machine on ebay or a loaner from your doctor. if not, ask your doctor what to do.

You lose some water through respiration overnight. If you don't drink something in the evening, it will be even higher.

Have a glass of water the first thing when you get up.

Have some relaxing music, do some stretching. Nervousness raises BP. Read something boring, even a dictionary.
