My father had a stroke in August of 07. PLease Help!!!!!?

After he had his stroke which left him paralyzed on his left side, his wife (my step mom) passed away in Nov of 07. I am now the primary caregiver to my dad and my 11 year old sister. I am 26 have 2 children and am attending college. He cannot live on his own, I sold my own home so that I could move in with him. Are there any benefits that I can receive for being his primary caregiver? I am at my witts end trying to keep everything together. I have also looked into life insurance for him so that if something does happen I will be able to pay for his house and other expenses, are there any tips that you could give??

Definitely check with Social Security. Also check with your county social services agency. Contact your county courthouse to find out more. You may qualify for assistance from charities or other agencies.

That is a lot of responsibility for one person. I wish you well, God Bless.

There is nothing for you. You either work or move out.

The 11 year old can get Social Security benefits. Contact your local Social Security office.

If dad is diasabled and cannot work he can get disability.

have you ever tried talking to God.it is in times like these when we really need him and he will get you through it.just put your faith in him
