If a person has had a small stroke could it cause hallucinations after recovery of the stroke? Please look up the causes of hallucinations. Yes they can it depends upon the type of stroke and which part of the brain the stroke affected, the hallucinations might be from the stroke or it could be a side effect of medications. Yes it is possible and is subject to the areas of the brain that are effected by the stroke. Yes, definitely. I have done geriatric care and seen that fairly often yes. for several reasons. the most likely one being 'organic brain damage' caused by the stroke, causing what is called as 'organic hallucinosis' if the hallucination are the only symptom. |
