Where is a good stroke rehab?

near pittsburgh,pa

I see that you are pretty far from me, but we have a place in St. Louis for that called The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis.

Their vision is "We provide rehabilitative care for survivors of stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputations, orthopedic conditions and cancer by combining the most advanced rehabilitative treatments with compassion and understanding."

I am an agency nurse and I worked there for a 6 month contract. The nursing care is great, but the doctors, physical, speech and occupational therapists can't be beat! It is VERY intense therapy!

Their contact information is:
4455 Duncan Avenue
St. Louis, MO 63110
314-658-3800

If nothing else, maybe if you call them they could help you find some resources in your area.

Check out their "programs" tab, and go to the "Stroke-pdf" file.

Good luck!
