My mom and two of my friends mom have had stroke after been put on blood thinners,All 3 were in good condition |
All were going home in a few days before this happen.Could a blood thinner cause strokes in seniors? I would think that a blood thinner would help PREVENT a stroke, not cause one, because strokes are caused by blood clots in the brain and blood thinners make blood do the opposite of clots. Sorry about your mom and I hope she'll be alright. Maybe she had a predisposition to blood clots and the thinner wasn't strong enough to prevent it. for the most part, blood thinners are used to prevent strokes, or small blood clots, the fact that these people were put on blood thinners tells me that they were predisposed to blood clots and/or strokes in the first place. |
