My granddad got a stroke..i'm concerned...?

My granddad is around 91 and he suffered from a stroke a couple of days ago...they told us he couldn't move his right hand all of a sudden and he'd started to sweat profusely as well...they took him to the doctor who checked everything and said he's fine. He can do stuff with his right hand now but I'm kinda worried. He has had no major health problems up until now. His heart and everything is working just fine(he suffers from a urinary tract problem, though).
Do you think he could have similar strokes in the future? Is what happened to him life-threatening or is it just a normal thing that happens when you're old...anyone of you guys heard of a similar story? please tell me about it...

Well, it's difficult to say anything specific without knowing more about your grandfather, but if he had a focal neurological defect (in this case, he couldn't move his right hand, although that's fairly uncommon if he was able to move the arm and leg fine) which resolved completely in less than 24 hours, even if a complete workup (including a brain MRI if they did one) was negative, he could have had what's called a TIA - which is like a stroke, but completely reversible in a short period of time. Although if it was really just his hand it may be a more local phenomenon rather than a stroke (which affects the brain)
If that's what happened, then he is at higher risk for a stroke, and it might benefit him to be taking aspirin, a statin (a type of medication for lowering cholesterol, like lipitor and zocor) an maybe even plavix, only a doctor (preferably a neurologist) who has examined him can tell.
As for being life threatening, strokes rarely cause death by themselves (though then can) but can be devastating in terms of loosing the ability to function. Risk for stroke, heart attack, cancer, pretty much everything goes up with age, and if your grandfather is 91 he's already pretty far ahead of the curve (average lifespan for a male is in the mid 70s or so) so even if he's been healthy his whole life just his age alone puts him at risk for many diseases.
I can't really say anything about him because I haven't had the chance to examine him or take a history, and I don't have access to any test results that were sent, so the best person to ask is his doctor.

i dont know anything but all you need to do is pray thats all that can help you know cast your problems on jesus if it helps i promise that i will pray for him too but if it gets any more seirious then you should ask him if hes saved cause thats really important evan if it is not serious then still ask him if hes saved .dont forget to pray god cares about and he knows wats gonna happen
