Jus had a stroke in nov 07 cani get dla ? |
i ripped an atery on the right side of my neck which i did during an epiletic fit. I was taken to hospital but id no poer on my right hand side. my speech was slurred and it made no since. Apparently with the artery healin it set a few blood clots to my brain. this caused me to have a stroke and i had hydrocephilis in the brain ( fluid in the brain ). i 2have emergency surgery as i stopped breathing in the hospital. I had 7stitches 2the front of my head 2drain fluid out and 27 stitches at the bk of my head to release the pressure. I was in hospital for over a month. apply and they will assess you, i would have thought you should get it but please get help from CAB with the forms as they can be complicated, plus this is a benefit that you are entitled to even if you can do some form of work. Good luck it depends how severely you are disabled after it if at all. the way they assess dla has changed, they will try to find you a job that you can do alongside your disability, only if this is not possible will you get dla I would suggest that you get in touch with welfare rights at your local council or social services . jiu.lytkujykghlj; Hi, Like everyone has said, get a welfare rights worker, CAB, The fact that you were in hospital with so many stiches etc wont matter with disiability living allowance. |
