My 33 yr old brother had a brain stem stroke? |
My brother is 33 and had a stroke in the brain stem leaving him un-able to move. With physical therapy he's able to move his head and face, fingers and toes. Does anyone know of anything that may help him with his recovery. I appreciate any suggestions and thank you greatly. My stroke was on the left side so I had compete paralysis on the right side. I know it can be very discouraging, but it will help your brother to have faith thats he can get better. i had stroke 10 years ago . i am still in a wheelchair. after i had theropy in a local hospital i was told that could offer no more help. i continued my outpatiet theropy for another month. they gave me note book of exercises and wished me well. i have stayed the same for 10 years. no one is doing much for us stroke victomes, that i know. i am hoping for stem cell reserch as my last hope. Follow the advice of his physicians and therapists, Sounds like the young man has a very positive atittude and will continue to do well. The best modality is a good support group and encouragement. He also has his age in his favor. Bravissimo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
