How do you tell if someone has had a stroke without going to a doctor?

FAST - Face, arms, speech, time - facial weakness, arm and leg weakness, speech problems, time is critical. Is the face kind of lopsided - when the person smiles does only one side of the face go up? When the person puts their arms out in front of them - does one kind of drift. Is the person talking strange - is their speech unusual for them? And T is for time - if you suspect a stroke go to the doctor/call an ambulance as soon as possible!!

some people don't have standard symptoms - the most common is weakness on one side but it doesn't have to happen
the treatment for a stroke HAS to happen within a very short time after the initial onset - don't wait go to the er and be sure!!!!!!! ct scans are fast and they will get you in quickly if there's a chance of stroke!

weker on one side or part slurd speech the stroke will usually hit on the domanant side first but look for grooping in face and get to a hospital cause they can reverse it if you get there within 4 hours

If you think a stroke is happenig you should always go to the hospital, that said you could notice slurred speech drooping facial expressions weakness on one side of the body blurred vission are some signs

Another way is to have them stick their tongue out and if it doesn't stick out evenly or one side is weakened then call 911 immediately
