Hi my sister had a bad stroke last year in july, she is young,31, it happend after she had a baby, she also had to have four brain surgeries, i think that your mom will be ok, just like the first answer, be there for her and keep her sprirts up, i quit my job to be my sister's personal assistant, there should be some help out there for your mom. Her insurance should provide help for her, if not there are some organizations out there for her, try asking the people where she goes to therapy at!

hi
my mom had a stroke along time ago, she was very young, and so was i so i barely remember. but i do know she had to learn to talk and walk all over again..she couldnt say a word. today she is ok, has problems ofcourse but not because of the stroke. Your mom can and will get through this, be there for her and tell her she will get better. wtach her fav. shows with her, spend as much time with her as possible, read to her, whatever , just help her with anything she cant do herself. the most important thign is to make sure she isnt scared because it is a scary situation for her to be in...make her know u are there.
