If you have a bleeding stroke how serious is it?

This is a stoke where the brain bleeds.

It happened between 1 and 2 am and she wouldn't let us take her to the ER.
Next day around 4pm the nurse talked her into going and that air cared her to UC hospital.
They ran a bunch of tests the next day.
She can see out of her right eye and she can't talk well but seems to have good motor skills.

she can possibly die or become a vegetable......... i hope the best for her

It depends on many things....where in the brain the stroke occured. How much bleeding was involved. How much brain damage resulted from the stroke and bleed, how much brain swelling is involved. One of the most important things is...how quickly was it caught and treated. Strokes can be extremely serious and lead to death, even instant death. But people do often survive. They can take weeks to years to recover from. Some people have lifelong effects from a stroke such as paralysis, immobility or slurred speech, while others make full recoveries. I know that doesn't help much, but each case is different.
