Seizure or stroke? |
My buddy was sitting on a roof smoking a joint with me when he kinda got real quiet, I just assumed he was high and tired....then he dropped his beer off the roof and slumped foward. He was unresponsive for about 3-5 minutes, and we carried him inside and called 911. He imidately snapped through, said he "had a bad dream" and he was fine, and the rest of the night looked as if nothing had happened; although you could tell he was a lil scared by what had happened. Heres the issue: he's had 3 or 4 strokes as a kid before he had brain surgery of some kind at 9 years old, these things have happened to him before. My feeling was it was a seizure, his eyes were moving rapidly, and he snapped through fine with no memory of the incident, or physical conditions from it. The other friend who carried him with me thought it was another stroke because he only remembers not being able to feel his right leg right, then next thing he knows he's back inside. He promised to get checked tues. What wasit? He could have had a seizure. I work with children who have them and some do have them when they drop their heads. Your friend should be more careful especially with his condition if he's smoking since he has these type of problems it's only going to slow his brain and may cause more complications as if it was to happen without being high. |
