What to say when visiting stroke victim and family.? |
My friend's mother just had a stroke last week and I will be visiting them in the rehab center soon. I feel real bad for them and don't really know what to say when I see them. She is a really great person. Her left side of her body is really weak and she can't see out of her left eye. I am not sure how her speech is. Anyone have any advice? Thanks. I'm sure they will appreciate the visit and just try to be optimistic and tell them you're there for them if they need help with something Try not to say sorry. Saying sorry doesn't help them. And really its a bit pointless to say. Thats my opinion anyways. |
