Which is the best way to treat sun stroke in a child?

Which is the best way to treat sun stroke in a child?

Plenty to drink for a start....try and pick up some Diaoralyte sachets from your chemist....these will help to rehydrate and replace lost salts, and sponge him down with tepid water to bring his temperatutre down and to cool the skin. Give Calpol too to help lower his temperature. Apply LOADS of aftersun to cool and soften the skin. Of course.....prevention is better than cure.

lots of water to keep them hydrated and keep an eye on them watching for fainting etc, hopefully it will pass, always keep thier head covered. xxx

phone nhs 24, or your GP
