Can ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke happen consequently?

Can ischemic stroke and hemorrhagic stroke happen consequently?

Hemorrhagic transformation is not uncommon in a large ischemic stroke.

I suppose it is possible, but they are two different kinds of strokes. Ischemic stroke is what we call a "mini" stroke, which isn't really life-threatened unless it occurs over and over. This occurs because you have a blot clot. A hemorrhagic stroke is life-threatening and occurs for a totally different reason than a ischemic stroke. It occurs when a blood vessel ruptures and blood spreads throughout the brain. Someone could have both together, but it is rare.

Hmmm...kind of confused as to what you are asking. Ishemia and hemorrhage are completely opposite. Ishchemic means lacking the flow of blood and hemorrhagic means profusely bleeding. Did you mean can one occur after the other? If so, yes it could be possible. If an area of ischemia were to perforate (tear or rupture), the perforation could allow blood to flow back into the area. Unfortunately the bleeding could be severe....hemorrhagic ....and potentially fatal if not controlled.
