How often can you have a mini stroke? What can be done to prevent or control the condition? Medications? You need to see a Vascular surgeon for a evaluation. Mini strokes lead to major strokes and if your arteries are blocking up you probably need surgery. If you can't get in soon at least get to your family doctor and have your arteries checked. They can do this with a Doppler and a blood pressure cuff. You should just ask your Dr first if this is OK for you .I have had 4 of these mini strokes but didn't know untill the 7th one- I thought it was part of diabetic nerve damage untill part of my left hand went numb and I started slurring my speech and lost most of my vision in my left eye. I was told to take one 81 mg baby aspirin every morning- no more problems (knock on wood) Check with your Dr. Risk factors are many. most notably hi blood pressure and hi cholesterol..have a regular check up for proper monitoring. |
